Pilgrimage to Romania

Painted Monasteries

Romania has a rich heritage and culture. The tour will focus on the UNESCO painted monasteries in Bucovina, northern Romania. The painted orthodox monasteries are beautiful and often colourful on the outside, painted in bright colours depicting various bible stories. You will learn more about the history of Romania with excellent local guides and have the opportunity to travel the country, experiencing some of the culture and local cuisine.
