Pilgrimage to Fatima

Fatima, Portugal

Fatima is the most popular pilgrimage destination in Portugal and the fourth biggest Roman Catholic pilgrimage destination in the world due to apparitions of the Virgin Mary to three little shepherds in 1917. Visit the Sanctuary of Our Lady of Fatima, the Chapel of Apparitions and Aljustrel, the village where the three children lived. Visit their houses and admire the furniture from that time and their humble upbringings. The pilgrimage will have plenty of time for prayer and reflection with daily Mass and fellowship.

SANCTUARY OF OUR LADY OF FATIMA
Fatima is the most visited pilgrimage site in Portugal with the shrine to Our Lady of the Rosary, the Chapel of Apparitions, the Basilica of the Holy Trinity, Stations of the Cross and more!

CHAPEL OF THE APPARITIONS
A small chapel built on the exact location the tree was rooted, where the apparitions of Our Lady to the three shepherds took place. In the centre of the chapel is the original statue (1920) and in the crown on the statue is the bullet that hit Pope John Paul II in the assassination attempt.

BASILICA OF THE HOLY TRINITY
This "new" basilica is the fourth largest Catholic church in the world as it seats 8633 people !
