Irish Guards 80th Anniversary Tour of the Battle of Normandy

Led by Regimental Headquarters Irish Guards

Wednesday 17th - Saturday 20th July 2024

In June 1944 the 2nd and 3rd Battalions of the Irish Guards travelled to France where, as part of the Guards Armoured Division in the Normandy Campaign, they saw action in Operation Goodwood with the objective to liberate Cagny and Operation Bluecoat, which saw the British capture the strategically important high ground around the Mont Pincon area.

Join us on the Irish Guards 80th Anniversary Tour of the Battle of Normandy as we travel to Caen and Cagny to discover about these two Operations and how they affected the outcome of the Normandy Campaign.
